#BeThe1To is the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline’s message for National Suicide Prevention Month. We all can play a role in preventing a peer, family member, friend and/or loved one in thinking twice before they attempt to end their lives.
Particularly, during this pandemic, it's easy to feel disconnected and struggling with thoughts of isolation and loneliness. However, help is ALWAYS near by, whether it be through someone you know personally, a mental health professional at your school, and/or the numerous support hotlines and social media tools to connect to a volunteer for support.
At Southwest Middle School, our Student Support Team (SST) is available through email. Hotlines that include support are below:
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline - 1-800-273-8255
In Spanish: 1-888-628-9454
Disaster Distress Hotline: 1-800-958-5990; Text TalkWithUs to 66746
